- As Strategic Buyer you build and maintain relationships with our suppliers of materials and services.
- You ensure that standards for product quality, reliability in delivery, lead times, safety and environment are met consistently.
- As Strategic Buyer you optimise the Supply Chain process, identify opportunities for product and process innovations, and strive for continuous total cost reductions.
- It is your responsibility to build a network of reliable and financially stable suppliers.
- You realise your target of performance, continuity in delivery, cost reductions, payment terms, lead times, etc., based on clear service level agreements and supplier performance management.
- As Strategic Buyer you invest in expanding your market knowledge as well as your knowledge of our own products.
- You build bridges between your internal customers (production, engineering, service, logistics) and your suppliers and assembly centres.
- When structural operational problems (delivery and quality) arise, you take the lead and make sure the right corrective actions are taken by the supplier. As Strategic Buyer you participate in cross functional teams that work on continuous improvement. You act quickly and decisively when issues require an immediate solution.
- You have a Master Degree in either Engineering, Industrial Science, Economics and/or Commercial Engineering.
- You have a first experience in sourcing of technical materials for an equipment manufacturer or assembly industry or you just graduated and are highly motivated to acquire this.
- As Strategic Buyer you have good interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of customer orientation, excellent negotiating and convincing skills, an entrepreneurial spirit and drive for results.
- You are an energetic team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- As Strategic Buyer you are IT literate and fluent in Dutch and English. German is a plus.
